Low- and medium-voltage electricity for all power projects

Grimard has taken part in many low- and medium-voltage electrical power projects for hydroelectric power plants and electrical substations. This includes the installation of transformer substations, ground and underground electrical distribution, power plants and electrical switchgear.

With our multidisciplinary teams, we can take charge of the construction, civil engineering, provision of switchgear, control, protection and telecommunications in a global service offering.

TRANSFORMER/ELECTRIC SUBSTATIONS

Transformer or electric substations are mainly operated by public utilities (Hydro-Québec, for instance) and industrial clients with high energy use. They contain a wide range of equipment, such as breakers, transformers, protectors and ground connections.

We have the appropriate lifting equipment and working platforms to ensure work safety at height.

POWER PLANTS

Hydroelectric power plants generate electricity from water power. At Grimard, we manufacture and install electrical switchgear, which means we can undertake any specialized work required in hydroelectric power plants.

ELECTRICAL SWITCHGEAR

Grimard manufactures low- and medium-voltage electrical switchgear, control and protection panels, and e-houses at its plant, according to clients’ technical specifications. We have the appropriate measuring and testing equipment to ensure quality and compliance, and have developed solutions that meet requirements for protection against internal electric arcs for applications up to 35 kV. Grimard can deliver its products and services across Canada and internationally.
